Fly A Jet Fighter
How many little children grow up dreaming of flying jet fighters, and how many adults ever pursue that dream until it becomes a reality? The opportunity to fly a jet fighter no longer requires a military career. Jet Fighters International, located in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, Florida, offers private, commercial and airline pilots the opportunity to strap in and actually fly a jet fighter aircraft.
If your experience is in small propeller-driven airplanes like a Cessna 172, Piper Cherokee, Cirrus or even in jet aircraft, like a corporate jet or airliner, when you fly the L-39C Albatros jet fighter, you are in for an extreme adrenaline rush and the “Thrill of a Lifetime!”
Your experience flying a jet fighter begins with ground school, where you are instructed in aircraft systems, briefing for the flight, pre-flight inspection, cockpit orientation and a safety brief. Next, you and your pilot get strapped in, obtain clearance from the control tower and take off. Once you’ve climbed to a safe altitude and location, your pilot will say,
“You’re flying the jet fighter!”
Fly The L-39C Albatros Fighter Jet
Jet Fighters International operates an Aero L-39C Albatros jet fighter. Originally designed and manufactured in Czechoslovakia, where it served for decades as a training aircraft for Warsaw Pact MIG pilots, the L-39C is a dream to fly. It is a low wing, tandem seating, all metal turbo fan-powered aircraft, built to rugged military specifications that include basic and advanced pilot training, weapons delivery and light attack combat missions.
The aircraft is powered by an AI-25TL turbofan jet engine, which develops approximately 3,800 pounds of static thrust at standard day sea level. Top speed is 909km/565mph/491knots and stall speed with gear and flaps extended is 157km/98mph/85 knots. The L-39C features a wing-span of 31.042 feet, with an overall length of 39.805 feet and a height of 15.493 feet.
You can experience everything from standard rate turns, steep turns, stall series, various climb and descent profiles, along with aerobatic maneuvers. The L-39C jet fighter’s flight controls are all push rods and push tubes on roller bearings, and the control stick forces to move the controls are effortless. The Aero L-39C Albatros jet fighter is an absolute dream to fly!
